Dark skies made the crowd of 436 at The Local Park a little nervous, but the rain held off. Axel Spil was the appointed referee with assistance provided by and Serdar Ulufer. The match took place on neutral ground. Malines decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Lineup: Dhur - Azevedo, Almeida Magalhães, Đoko, Pittaluga, Eickmann - Gottsmann, Dettore, Sevillana - Delpiccolo, Grudlak.

Premiere tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Belgi - Nakiboğlu, Olszyna, Düvenci, Kiss - Barbarić, Pomakoğlu, Masurel, K. Szabó, Ursin - Ładosz.

Malines tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their excellent level with that tactic. For their match strategy, Premiere had decided to use their formidable ability to counter-attack whenever possible. 5 minutes into the game, Malines seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. Premiere took the lead 9 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Yvan Masurel was the scorer. 13 minutes into the game, Malines had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. With 18 minutes played, Premiere put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Leszek Olszyna. Confident in their lead, Premiere's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Given a free kick close to the byline, Premiere tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Mitjo Ursin slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 3, 28 minutes into the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Premiere had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

During the break, Malines's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Pero Đoko from Malines a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 59 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Malines needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes Maurilio Dettore made way for Charly Lallemang. With 65 minutes played, the Malines coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Yoann Rollin came on, Vanni Delpiccolo had to leave the fray. The bench was restless, and with 65 minutes passed Malines's coach gave František Kandalec the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Łukasz Grudlak reluctantly left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, František Kandalec took over the role of being the Malines captain. After 65 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Konstanty Ładosz to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. 78 minutes in, Malines appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. Premiere came close to extending their lead as Vice Barbarić delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 88 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. After 89 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Malines found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. Possession in this half belonged to Premiere, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

Yoann Rollin performed admirably for Malines. On the other hand, Roby Dhur's play was disheartening. Most important Premiere player was Konstanty Ładosz. Gergő Kiss turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
