Team890 2 - 1 Kiki (236187957)

The 2808 fans in attendance at San Justerini & Brooks were roasting in the hot sun. Terry Wassmuth was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aurél Szabolcska and Celestino Pileri. The match took place on neutral ground. Team890 started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Panão - Hribar, Etchepare, Peralta - Stoyanov, Auerbacher, Salgado, Voci, Raguin - Dijkman, Pils.

Kiki tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Le Flem - Borisch, Popov, Bańdura - Williamson, Wightman, Olšanský, Faucon, Lacalle Tejada - Gade, Broekman.

Team890 clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Kiki had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 7 minutes in when K. Wightman came up alone against F. Panão who managed a block. 17 minutes into the game, K. Gade almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. O. Auerbacher caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 29 minutes. This gave Team890 the 1 - 0 lead. Ľ. Olšanský made a run for the goal 31 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. The counterattack by Team890 resulted in a free kick that U. Pils bent under the crossbar - 2 - 0! After 33 minutes, Kiki were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. O. Popov did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Kiki enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

Ater 49 minutes G. Broekman seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Kiki making it 2 - 1. Kiki's right side looked dangerous 50 minutes in, but F. Panão made a good save on A. Bańdura's hard shot to the top corner. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile F. Voci. G. Broekman came close to levelling the score 66 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Possession in this half belonged to Kiki, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

Team890's best player was M. Dijkman. However, L. Raguin made a disastrous appearance. J. Faucon performed admirably for Kiki. On the other hand, J. Le Flem's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
